The press service of the Romanian Ministry of Health released statement on the official website of the department, which states that there is an outbreak of measles in the country.
The Ministry of Health clarified that this decision was made due to an alarming increase in the incidence of measles and a large number of hospitalizations in pediatric and infectious diseases departments of infected children.
“The Ministry of Health has declared a nationwide measles epidemic. Currently, nearly 2,000 cases have been reported nationally in 29 districts,” the statement said.
