The results of the Open Scientific and Practical Conference “Science for Life” were summed up in the capital

In Moscow, the results of the Open Scientific and Practical Conference “Science for Life” were summed up, organized by the Department of Education and Science of the capital together with the Moscow City Pedagogical University.

The conference was held in four areas: “Diversity of science”, “Megapolis as a space for success and social responsibility”, “Mediastart” and “Step in business”. Each of the directions had its own sections. For example, the direction “Diversity of science” included such sections as “Astronomy and space technologies”, “Earth science”, “Organic chemistry”, “Philology”, “Ecology and environmental management” … The direction “Megapolis as a space of success and social responsibility” – sections such as “Cultural and historical image of the metropolis”, “Problems of the XXI century”, “Urban studies”, “Healthy lifestyle and sports”, “Legal responsibility and ethics in urban studies” … The “Mediastart” direction assumed the participation of contestants, for example, in sections such as Media Journalism, Radio Journalism, TV Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Media Communications in Social Networks…

Research and design work for the intellectual competition was sent by teachers, employees of educational centers and scientific organizations, research centers, social institutions, as well as students of 7-11 grades. Children from 5th to 11th grades could take part in the nomination “Healthy lifestyle and sport”, which was included in the direction “Megapolis as a space for success and social responsibility”.

The conference was held in two stages – qualifying and final. The requirements for each work were regulated by the rules for the participation of contestants in a particular section: somewhere it was necessary to make a presentation, somewhere to provide a film, somewhere to make a public speech, somewhere to conduct scientific research and explain it.

One of the winners of the conference in the nomination “Mediastart”, section “Media journalism”, a student of the 7th grade of school No. 2073 Roman Novikov, said:

– The topic we chose was called “The Bookshelf of the Modern Teenager”. We conducted the study and designed it into a presentation. To pass the qualifying stage, we sent our work to the organizers of the conference, then we found out that we had made it to the final of the competition, in which we had to defend a presentation at RUDN in front of the commission.

I really liked that the atmosphere at the defense was calm and friendly. When I came to the defense, I said to myself: “Even if I don’t take a prize, I won’t be offended, because participating in such an event is already a victory!”

Well, when I won, I was very happy and proud that I passed the test, adequately represented my school and became the winner of such a cool conference.
