On January 30, the All-Russian Competitions ended in Noyabrsk competitions chess “Memorial of Vladimir Nikolaevich Onoprienko”. Over 200 young chess players from eight regions of Russia demonstrated their skills. The results were summed up by the Noyabrsk administration.
“Noyabrsk has something to be proud of! Among boys under 11 years old, Dmitry Garnitsky won the silver medal. Among girls under 15 years old, Oksana Smirnova won gold, and Alexandra Shumilina won bronze. Among boys under 15 years old, Vladimir Derkach took third place,” the administration announced.
The authorities wished the young Yamal residents new victories.
