All-Russian boxing competition named after Artyom Lavrov started in the capital of Kuban

On January 30, the All-Russian boxing competition named after Artyom Lavrov started in the Kuban capital. The competition will last at the Basket Hall until February 5. More than 60 men and women from 19 to 40 years old from 16 constituent entities of the Russian Federation are competing for awards in the tournament.

Among the guests of the competition are the champion of the XXII Olympic Games Shamil Sabirov, the Honored Master of Sports of Russia Sergei Vodopyanov, as well as representatives of the coaching and sports community of Kuban. During the opening ceremony of the competition, a parade of flags was organized, Shamil Sabirov wished the participants a successful performance in the competition, achieving high results that the entire community of professional boxers would be proud of.

Let us remind you that Artyom Lavrov is a famous Kuban coach. The athlete led the USSR national team. Under his leadership, the team became the strongest at the European Championships 4 times. The coach passed away in 2011.

Earlier, MK in Kuban wrote that representatives of the region won over 3,000 awards at competitions in 2023.
