A professor from Murmansk, Felix Shcherbina, distinguished himself with a special desire to win. He took part in competitions in the age group from 80 to 84 years old, the committee on physical culture and sports of the Murmansk city administration reported.
Felix Aleksandrovich performed in the long jump and triple jump. In addition, he recently set a Russian long jump record, dreaming of a record in the triple.
“And the professor’s dream came true: in Cheboksary, among rivals from 66 regions, he jumped 8 meters 24 cm. There is a Russian record!” — shared in the committee.
Yuri Chirkov, Chairman of the Commission for Veteran Athletes in the Russian Athletics Federation, highly appreciated the efficiency and confidence in the victory of the Doctor of Biological Sciences.
He also noted that the professor deserves the most pleasant words for his dedication, love for sports, for the Kola North and his country. Murmansk athletes also congratulated Felix Alexandrovich on the new Russian record in the triple jump!
