The RFU announced the suspension of five players on March 20. Also, referee Vyacheslav Bulay was suspended for ten years.

“In March, there were new suspensions from football for betting; this time, five players of the Second League team “Kvant” and one referee came to the attention of the RFU ethics committee due to violation of regulations. It is worth noting that for the first time, the ethics committee suspended five players from one team at once,” said Mr. Stukalov.

According to the chairman of the RFU ethics committee, Magomed Isaev “distinguished himself with a solid turnover of bets” – more than 7 million rubles. in two years. “Most often he bet on night league games, the winning percentage on them was much higher than average,” he added.

Armen Avagyan, as Andrey Stukalov said, made more than 10 bets on the match of his own team. “As for the arbitrator from the Moscow region, Vyacheslav Bulay, his betting turnover exceeded 5 million rubles,” he clarified. Mr. Stukalov noted that Avagyan and Bulay refused to cooperate with the RFU.

The ban on participation in football betting and gambling is established by Art. 18 of the RFU ethics regulations. It states that football entities are prohibited from taking part, directly or indirectly, in betting, gambling, lotteries or similar activities related to football matches or competitions.
