Primorsky athletes won 17 medals at the international karate tournament

The international tournament “Success Cup” brought together representatives of 14 countries and fighters from all over Russia in Novosibirsk. The Primorye delegation adequately represented our region.

64 athletes from Vladivostok, Nakhodka and Ussuriysk brought 17 awards to their small homeland.

As reported by the regional Ministry of Sports, the winner in the Kumite matches was the vice-champion of the Russian Championship, Dmitry Belousov from Vladivostok. Also gold was won by Sergei Kochetkov from Nakhodka, and Ussuri players Vladislav Yevtushenko and Rostislav Lukyanenko.

The silver medalists in kumite were Sergey Gaponeko, Ilya Fedorenko and Timofey Sokolovsky. Bronze – Roman Tsybulsky, Alexander Gaponenko, Zakhar Mostovoy, Nazar Kotlyarov and Zakhar Svirkhunov. All of them are pupils of the Ussuri school “Record”.

In the kata discipline, first place went to karatekas from Vladivostok – Ruslan Rubis, Artyom Sobolev and Nikolai Testov. Second place was taken by students of the municipal sports school “Vysota” Amir Bulgakov, Maxim Gaidin and Rostislav Chuchurin. Vladivostok residents Matvey Gavrilov, Dmitry Rudyuk, Egor Usoltsev showed the third result. In third place are also Valeria Kornienko, Angelina Sokolova, Kira Panas from Nakhodka.
