Co-owner of the Intermobility Group of Companies, Daniil Titarenko, told reporters that the reason for the delay in the receipt of SMS messages to participants of remote electronic voting in the elections in Moscow was attempts to attack the servers of the company that delivers the messages.
“Our security services have detected an attempt to attack our system; therefore, in some cases there are delays in the delivery of SMS to participants in electronic voting. This does not affect the voting process in any way,” Titarenko said.
He clarified that SMS will be sent to voters, but this will happen with a slight delay, after which they will be able to take part in the vote. Titarenko added that everything possible is currently being done to restore the correct operation of the system.
