Minister of Transport of Crimea Nikolai Lukashenko said that as of 18:00 Moscow time, the queue of cars on the Crimean bridge from the Kranodar Territory is 7 km, from the Crimea – 1.5. The waiting time is 5 hours and 1 hour respectively.
“In connection with the long wait in line for entry into the Crimea, the Krasnodar Territory organized the issuance of drinking water. We apologize to citizens for the inconvenience caused,” Mr. Lukashenko added in his Telegram channel.
Initially, the line from the Kuban stretched out 5 km, then increased up to 9 km. At checkpoints, the number of employees has been increased, the work of inspection lines and support forces has been strengthened.
The departmental security department of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation explained that the reason for the queue was an increase in the flow of cars and “the transport of a large amount of luggage subject to inspection.”
