The publication “Yarnovosti” suspended its activities after being entered into the register of foreign agents

The Yaroslavl edition of Yarnovosti suspended its work after the Ministry of Justice entered it into the register of foreign agents. The employees sent requests and prepared documents for the court, but no one inside the editorial office wanted to continue their activities with the marking of a foreign agent. The notice of the decision was sent to Roskomnadzor.

“Purely theoretically, we could continue to go out with the marking of foreign agents, but none of the editorial staff wants this, so today we decided to suspend the activities of the media,” the publication said in the Telegram channel.

“Yarnovi” existed for more than 10 years. The publication was entered into the register of foreign agents on June 2. A few days later the site was suspended. According to Medialogy, Yarnovosti ranked third in the ranking of the most cited mass media in the Yaroslavl region.
