The presence of sleep disorders in a person is a sign of mental distress, said the chief psychiatrist of Moscow, Georgy Kostyuk.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, he noted that sleep disturbance is one of the first indicators of anxiety and depressive disorders. This includes difficulty falling asleep and getting up early, when a person wakes up at night and cannot fall asleep until morning.
Kostyuk said that the normalization of sleep will allow you to quickly overcome mental ill-being.
“Therefore, it is imperative that sleep be healthy … It is desirable that sleep begins according to the formula “fall asleep today – wake up tomorrow,” he said.
The psychiatrist also urged to use less gadgets before going to bed, give up alcohol, move more and be in the fresh air.
