In Mordovia, the prosecutor’s office is checking information about school rations containing worms. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the press service of the supervisory agency. Information about wormy cereals in school meals previously appeared in the Mash telegram channel. Journalists reported that families with disabled children received dry rations, which included rice and buckwheat with worms.
In total, 150 families received such “rations”. Children are educated at home and thus schools “compensate” for them the free meals required by law. Outraged parents began writing complaints. And they apologized to them and promised to quickly replace everything.
Now the prosecutor’s office and specialists responsible for school meals will check the quality of the products. They will have to find out whether there were accompanying documents for these cereals and, if so, who issued them. The prosecutor’s office noted that if the facts are confirmed, appropriate prosecutorial response measures will be taken.
