Ussuri prosecutor’s office checks following reports of expired food being distributed to flood-affected local residents as humanitarian aid. Administration of Ussuriysk informedthat the information is not correct.
Humanitarian aid was given to large families affected by floods, the disabled, parents of disabled children, single pensioners, and families of SVO participants. On August 25, in one of the Telegram channels of Ussuriysk appeared videoon which a man shows expired canned food. The products in the video expired 2-3 months ago. According to the man, they were given out to the victims at the humanitarian aid center based on the Horizon youth center.
According to representatives of the regional administration, the products were provided by a large network enterprise, and their expiration dates were put down by the controller. At the same time, on August 25, local authorities reportedthat humanitarian aid was delivered to the region from Turkmenistan.
