A draft law will be submitted to the State Duma, according to which deviationists can be deprived of acquired citizenship. The document was prepared by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government Mikhail Matveev (KPRF). Bill it is planned to make to the lower house of parliament next week.
The reason for the deprivation of acquired citizenship will be failure to register for military registration within the period established by Russian law, informed Mr. Matveev 1 August. This, as well as evasion of military duty, according to the bill, will be the basis for the deprivation of Russian citizenship and deportation.
A foreigner who has received Russian citizenship takes an oath, receives a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and, within two weeks after that, is obliged to arrive at the military commissariat at the place of residence or registration in order to be registered with the military.
Currently acquired citizenship in Russia you can lose for discrediting the armed forces of the Russian Federation and committing actions that pose a threat to national security.
What consequences caused the proposal to deprive Russians of citizenship by birth, read in the publication “Kommersant” “The Senate have their own pride”.
