The regional prosecutor’s office commented on the lawsuit on wage debts to former employees and players of the Omichka volleyball club. Earlier we wrote that Judge Marchenko in the Central District Court of Omsk refused them payments from the regional government.
On Friday, December 23, the Central Court of Omsk ruled on the refusal to pay wage arrears to former employees and players of the disbanded volleyball club “Omichka” by the regional government. We have already reported on this. The regional prosecutor’s office also commented on the editorial verdict.
“We will continue to defend the labor rights of citizens. As soon as the court decision is made in full, we will study the arguments that served as the basis for making such a decision, and we will continue what we started in the court of appeal,” the department noted.
It is worth recalling that the proceedings began in August, then strangely paused in October. Then it quickly resumed after a visit to Omsk by Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov. Although few expected that the process would end with one meeting and a decision not in favor of people who could not wait for their money for 6 years. We are talking about the amount of about 60 million rubles. Initially, the Prosecutor General’s Office demanded that the regional government repay the debt “in an amicable way”, but it refused. After that, the regional prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit.
Also earlier, “MK in Omsk” wrote about criminal case about the theft of the club’s salary money. It has long been taken under control by the head of the TFR, Alexander Bastrykin, and the Prosecutor General’s Office, and yet now it is once again standing still.
