The prosecutor’s office of the Krasnodar Territory initiated an inspection in connection with the large traffic jam in front of the Crimean bridge. As clarified in the supervisory agency, at present, an audit is being carried out in relation to responsible organizations that have not ensured sufficient safety and security of the transport crossing through the Kerch Strait in accordance with the law.
The first deputy prosecutor of the region, Pavel Gvozdev, went to the site of a multi-kilometer traffic jam. The prosecutor’s office also assessed the measures taken to respect the rights of citizens and issued instructions for the organization of water distribution points, the installation of dry closets and other measures. The department stressed that the actual elimination of violations of federal law is under control.
A multi-kilometer traffic jam on the Crimean bridge was formed on July 1 due to the inspection of luggage in cars. By July 3, the traffic jam at the entrance to the bridge from the Kuban stretched for 13 kilometers. Inspection before crossing the Crimean bridge is carried out on behalf of the head of the Crimea, Sergei Aksenov. In this regard, the number of police officers at the checkpoints was increased. On the evening of July 3, the traffic jam at the entrance to the bridge towards Crimea is 9 kilometers, and the waiting time reaches 6 hours.
