The ex-mayor of Izhevsk demanded that the hospital return all his gifts

The former head of the administration of Izhevsk, Denis Agashin, demanded that the city clinical hospital No. 6 return all the gifts that he had previously made to this medical institution. Among the gifts required for return were double-glazed windows, stretch ceilings and plumbing.
According to RIA Novosti, the regional branch of the United Russia party condemned Agashin’s actions and noted that he was no longer a member of the party. A spokesman for the hospital did not comment on his next steps, but acknowledged receiving a letter from the former mayor. At the same time, another source at the hospital expressed hope that Agashin would change his mind and withdraw his demand.
Denis Agashin served as Minister of Transport and Roads of Udmurtia in 2009-2010, and from 2010 to 2015 he was the mayor of Izhevsk. For his contribution to the development of Udmurtia, he was awarded an honorary diploma from the government of the republic.
