The prosecutor’s office is conducting an unscheduled inspection of the activities of the European University in St. Petersburg. Its main subject is the implementation of education legislation, Kommersant was told at the university today, May 17.
The inspection of the supervisory authority is being carried out with the involvement of Rosobrnadzor specialists in an on-site format and will last until June 13, the university explained. A special commission is interested in documents on the educational process, including master’s theses, as well as topics of postgraduate students’ work. At the same time, the university is operating as usual – all classes are conducted according to the schedule, specified in the educational institution.
In March 2017 European University at St. Petersburg was deprived educational licenses. The arbitration court satisfied the claim of Rosobrnadzor, which pointed out violations in the work of the university. In 2018, the license was returned to the university.
