The state prosecution asks the court to sentence former Minister of the Open Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Abyzov to 19.5 years in a maximum security colony.
As the prosecutor stated in the courtroom, the charge under Art. 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (creation of a criminal community) was fully confirmed: the accused had known each other for a long time, and a hierarchical system operated between them.
Along with imprisonment, the prosecution asked the court to fine Abyzov 470 million rubles, deprive him of the Order of Friendship and ban him from performing administrative functions for five years.
In addition, the court is asked to satisfy the claim of the injured party in full, for 1.5 billion rubles.
Earlier, lawyer Anatoly Kuznetsov said that Abyzov paid into the Russian budget at the expense of his own property 20 billion rublesdespite the fact that the total amount of debt amounted to 32 billion rubles.
Moreover, in the spring of 2022, when the hearings began, Abyzov doubted the existence victims in his case of fraud worth 4 billion rubles and the organization of a criminal community. According to him, for three years the victims never appeared.
