The Prosecutor General’s Office is checking the “foreign trace” in the terrorist attacks

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office is considering the possible involvement of foreign structures in organizing terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad. In particular, we are talking about undermining the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.

As the Prosecutor General’s Office reported on Wednesday, the supervisory agency previously received an appeal from deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and public figures. The authors of the appeal ask to check the presence of a “foreign trace” in terrorist acts.

Having studied the submitted materials, prosecutors sent appropriate appeals to the competent authorities of the USA, Germany, France and Cyprus.

“We express the hope that our colleagues from these countries will conscientiously approach their consideration and fulfill the obligations assigned to them by the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism of 1999 and the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings of 1997,” the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement.
