The prosecution requested 13 years in a maximum security colony for the ex-governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozertsev, and 12 years for the head of the pharmaceutical company Biotek LLC, Boris Shpigel, in a bribery case during a visiting hearing of the Izmailovsky Court of Moscow in pre-trial detention center-1. Lawyer Alexey Shuvarin reports this.
“The state prosecutor asked Ivan Aleksandrovich Belozertsev to serve 13 years in a maximum security colony,” said the representative of the law.
He noted that the state prosecutor asked Spiegel to be given a lesser sentence – 12 years in a maximum security colony.
The court hearing is being held in an on-site format in the building of the Matrosskaya Tishina detention center due to Spiegel’s illness.
