The Progress MS-24 transport cargo ship has successfully docked with the Zvezda Service Module of the Russian Segment of the International Space Station (ISS), according to a Roscosmos broadcast.

About 2,500 kilograms of cargo, including 500 kilograms of fuel for refueling, 420 liters of drinking water, 40 kilograms of compressed nitrogen in cylinders, as well as about 1,535 kilograms of various equipment and materials in the cargo compartment, were delivered to the ISS on board the Progress MS-24. . Among them were packing for experiments, means of medical control and sanitary and hygienic provision, as well as items of clothing.
Also, food for Russian cosmonauts was sent to the station on a cargo ship. They will be able to enjoy borscht, vegetable and mushroom soups, mashed soups, as well as main courses, including lamb with vegetables, beef with onions, meat with barley porridge, fish cabbage rolls in tomato sauce and others. The crew’s diet also includes canned food, drinks, fruit concentrates and baked goods, including a honey cake that astronauts previously used to create homemade cakes aboard the station. In addition, fruit desserts in doy-packs and three types of cottage cheese were sent to the ISS – with sea buckthorn, blackcurrant puree and nuts.
The psychological support of the Russian crew also reported that an ET figurine (ET) was sent to the ISS at the request of cosmonaut Sergei Prokopyev. This figure is the hero of the science fiction movie “Alien” by Steven Spielberg.
The carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1a” with the spacecraft “Progress MS-24” was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on Wednesday at 04:08 Moscow time. This is the third launch of the Progress MS this year.
