A record number of applications were submitted in the Year of the Teacher and Mentor
In Moscow, in the solemn atmosphere of the exhibition-forum “Russia” at VDNKh, the winners of the all-Russian competition of journalistic works in the field of education – “PRO Education-2023” were awarded. Prize-winners were awarded in 20 categories.
A record 3,045 applications from 89 regions of Russia were submitted to the annual competition in the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. Awards and prizes from the organizers were received by the best journalists, bloggers, individual authors, communities of educational organizations on social networks and the media that cover the topic of education. The founder and organizer of the competition is the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
The first to take the stage was Deputy Minister of Education Alexander Bugaev, who greeted everyone gathered in the hall and was the first to begin presenting prizes. Among those who honored the winners and runners-up in the competition categories were Elena Vartanova, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, Chairman of the Competition Expert Council, Scientific Director of the Scientific and Educational Policy Center Evgeniy Szhonov, Director of the Institute of Media at the Higher School of Economics Ernest Matskevichus and others. Incendiary dances – Interruptions between nominations were performed by ballet dancers “Todes” to rap compositions written specifically for the competition by DJ Vakhtang.
The PRO Education competition serves as a tuning fork of public recognition for regional and federal media, professional communities, bloggers and media projects covering the topic of education. Awards are presented in the categories “Discovery of the Year”, “Master”, “Best Community of an Educational Institution on Social Networks”, etc.
This year, the winner in the honorary category “Master” was the correspondent of “Moskovsky Komsomolets” Ekaterina Stepanova. The third prize in the category “Best material about children’s and youth associations and movements” was received by the correspondent of the family and education department of Moskovsky Komsomolets Stanislava Odoevtseva.
