In the final part of the funeral ceremony for fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev, the clergyman who performed the ceremony noticed that the couturier was not buried according to the rules. The church priest pointed out that he was in a red suit, although according to the Orthodox canon, the dead are buried in white clothes. About it informed news portal.

According to a representative of the church, for 15 years Zaitsev went to the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity in Shchelkovo (in the Moscow region), where his funeral took place. Once he came to this temple on Easter and was surprised that all the paths in the church were red, as in his shows. “When he came to Lent, these were dark clothes,” a church representative explained. – One day he came to work and sees that everything is in red here. It was Easter. He like it very much. When he approached the cross, he said: “Your place is like ours.” The clergyman also recalled that fashion designer Zaitsev himself was known as “Red Dior”. As a result, the temple decided to make an exception and move away from the severity of the canon.

Vyacheslav Zaitsev, the clergyman decided to attend the funeral in a red suit, because it was the fashion designer’s favorite color. “His soul is with us today,” a church representative added. He sees our love, our care. He treated everyone with love.”

After the funeral, the coffin with the body of Vyacheslav Zaitsev was taken out of the Cathedral of the Life-Giving Trinity. For burial, the ashes of a celebrity were sent to the Zhegalovsky cemetery in Shchelkovo.

Vyacheslav Zaitsev died on Sunday, April 30, after a long struggle with the consequences of a serious illness. In 2016, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Earlier, Nikolai Golovin, ex-director of the Vyacheslav Zaitsev Fashion House, reported that in recent days the fashion designer “was abandoned by his family, he climbed as best he could, with such a serious illness.” He claimed that “no one even answered his (Zaitsev’s) calls – neither his granddaughter, nor his son.” On the eve of the funeral, informationthat the relatives could not take the body of the fashion designer for several days from the morgue to organize a farewell ceremony.
