Alexander Shubin, an employee of the Russian Guard battalion “Oplot”, an associate of the writer Zakhar Prilepin, was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. Kommersant was informed about this in the press service of the writer. The decree on appropriation was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the press service noted.
Now the order is at the headquarters of the Zakhar Prilepin Front. Together with the body of the deceased Alexander Shubin, he will be sent to the zone of the special operation, where, after the funeral, the award will be given to the parents of the National Guard.
Alexander Shubin died on May 6 during a terrorist attack in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The car with Alexander Shubin and Zakhar Prilepin was blown up. The writer survived, but received multiple injuries. Now he is in one of the hospitals in Nizhny Novgorod.
Alexander Shubin was born on January 15, 1996 in Lugansk. Since 2014, he has taken part in the fighting in eastern Ukraine on the side of the armed units of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics. Farewell to the deceased passed in Nizhny Novgorod today, May 11. After that, the coffin with the body will be sent to the NWO zone. Information about exactly where the funeral will take place has not been disclosed.
On the fact of what happened in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a criminal case was opened under Art. 205 and Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist attack and illegal trafficking in explosives). The accused in the case is Alexander Permyakov, a native of Ukraine.
