“The war started by the Kyiv regime with the active, direct support of the West is now in its tenth year, and a special military operation is aimed at stopping it. And it reminds us that unilateral steps, no matter who takes them, will inevitably be met with retaliatory actions. <...> This is what any responsible state, a sovereign, independent and self-respecting country does,” the president emphasized.
According to the president, the Ukrainian crisis is not a territorial conflict. Russia also has no goal of establishing a regional geopolitical balance. We are talking about the principles on which the new world order will be based.
“Russia is the largest, largest country in the world in terms of territory. We have no interests in terms of conquering any additional territories. We still have to develop and develop Siberia, Eastern Siberia, and the Far East,” Putin explained.
The President is confident that lasting peace will only be established when all countries begin to feel secure and balance is established in the world.
