Smolensk NPP produces an average of 20 billion kWh of electricity. This is more than 75% of the total amount of electricity generated by the energy enterprises of the region.
Acting Governor Vasily Anokhin held an operational headquarters to eliminate the consequences of the hurricane. “All utilities and emergency services in the region have been transferred to an enhanced mode of operation,” Anokhin said.
