Actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed that he suffers from dyslexia. During his school years, he faced difficulties in reading, for which he was beaten with a ruler.
“I am a terrible reader. In Austria in the 50s, there was no talk about learning disabilities, so most of the time when I had to read aloud in class, it was a living hell, I was beaten with a ruler. Now I know that I have dyslexia, ”the actor wrote on social networks.
According to Schwarzenegger, memorizing the script for films takes him a lot of time, he spends months learning his lines.
Schwarzenegger also noted that it was difficult for him to record his audiobook Be Helpful: Seven Tools for Life. The actor had to practice for a long time and read the manuscript before recording the audio.
“I cut the text into small passages, knowing that big victories are made up of small successes,” he shared.
