The popularity of leggings in Britain has created a demand for vaginal surgery

Juvenis Chief Surgeon Dr. John Skevofilaks says the number of women who would like to get their own “designer vagina” has doubled in recent years due to the popularity of leggings.

The operation is called labioplasty, involves reducing the size of the labia minora and costs up to four thousand pounds (296.8 thousand rubles). In 2021, Skevophylax performed 50 such operations, their number in the first half of 2022 has already surpassed last year’s record.

According to the doctor, women are increasingly seeking labioplasty because tight clothing, such as leggings, is uncomfortable and “draws attention to the labia.”

Exercise clothes are slightly tighter and form-fitting, so they put pressure on that area, the doctor explained. Women experience pain and discomfort, chafing and feeling uncomfortable.

Leggings came into fashion in the 1970s thanks to celebrities of the decade like Debbie Harry and the late Olivia Newton-John. In recent years, they have been replaced by skin-tight athletic leggings, coinciding with the rise of gym culture. This style, sometimes called “sporty leisure” – a mixture of sports and casual wear, was popularized by the stars of the reality show Kardashian.

Dr. Skevophylax said that 80% of women seeking labioplasty want to eliminate the discomfort of wearing tight clothing, not for aesthetic reasons.

It used to be that designer vaginas were fueled by unrealistic body images in pornography.

“In fact, I have never had a patient who said: “I want my vagina to look like such and such a porn star,” the doctor emphasized.

One of the readers of the publication noted that all this is like buying shoes two sizes smaller and then chopping off the tips of the fingers.
