The Pope considers it “morally acceptable” to help Ukraine with weapons

Pope Francis believes that the supply of weapons to Ukraine does not contradict moral principles, reports Reuters.
So, during a visit to Kazakhstan, the pontiff was asked whether it was morally right to send weapons to Ukraine.
“This is a political decision that can be morally acceptable if it is made under the conditions of morality,” the Pope replied.
He recalled that there are “just war” principles that allow for the proportional use of lethal weapons for defense. Immoral will be the supply of weapons in order to unleash a new conflict, says Francis.
