Victor told why Sofia Mikhailovna maintains “royal neutrality”

Sofia Rotaru completely disappeared from view after the start of the SVO. The singer carefully hides her location. She does not appear in public, does not tour or give interviews.

Previously, before the New Year, the artist invariably came to Russia: she starred in New Year’s lights and took part in holiday concerts. But this year (as in the past) Rotaru will not appear in Moscow.

The famous poet Victor Pelenyagre, who wrote a bunch of hits for Baskov, Leontiev, Allegrova, Buinov and other stars, explained the reason for Rotaru’s disappearance.

“Sofia Mikhailovna is a smart woman,” says Pelenyagre. — Maintains royal neutrality. Of course, it’s hard for her there. But I think Rotaru will cope. In any case, the artists understand that they owe everything to Russia. Raymond recently said about this that Latvia, when it was with Russia, looked like the center of the universe. And now it is turning into a seedy European backyard. Of course, I haven’t been there for a long time, but I can imagine what might be happening there now.

Rotaru was once considered the main competitor of Alla Pugacheva. Now Sofia is friends with the diva: the “farmer” regularly likes Alla on social networks.

“All the best creative forces worked for Alla,” says Victor. — Rotaru, of course, had fewer opportunities. If only because she appeared in Moscow on short visits. She was content mainly with regional authors. But Sofia Rotaru was, of course, the pole of opposition to Alla Pugacheva in every sense.

By the way, in Rotaru’s repertoire there is a song “Lilies of the Valley” based on poems by Pelenyagre and music by Igor Krutoy. It was performed in one of the New Year’s musicals.
