In the Kuzminsky District Court of the capital, where on Saturday the issue of a measure of restraint for the defendants in the case of especially large-scale fraud, one of which is the former chief narcologist of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Bryun, is being considered, the investigator announced a deal with one of the defendants.
According to the representative of the Investigative Committee, the vice-president of the Russian Narcological League, Vladimir Yakushev, concluded a pre-trial agreement with the investigation.
“Given that Yakushev admitted his guilt, an agreement was concluded with him on cooperation with the investigation,” said the representative of the prosecution. “I consider his detention inappropriate and ask him to be sent under house arrest until October 3.”
Earlier, the Kuzminsky Court had already granted the investigators’ request to place Yevgeny Bryun under house arrest, also until October 3.
The court reported that Bruno was charged with fraud, in which he faces up to 10 years in prison. He told the court that he was interested in the fact that the investigation found the truth, and also promised not to hide or hide anything. Brun pleaded not guilty.
