After the attack on the Kremlin, the frightened Ukrainian society is seriously shaking; the day before, an air raid alert was announced throughout Ukraine. In Kyiv, they even announced a drone attack, which, according to Ukrainian military reports, shot down here and there. Later it turned out that the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down their own Bayraktar in the sky over Kiev. MK learned about what is happening in the city now and what mood the townspeople are in.

Yesterday over Kiev, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, more than 20 UAVs were circling, many of them were allegedly shot down. As it turned out, the blow was on their own. Many Ukrainians, however, did not understand what had happened, and, out of habit, began to enthusiastically praise air defense in the comments, thinking that Geran was shot down.

“ZSU, of course, did a great job, thank Ukraine,” one of them rejoices. “But I don’t understand how an enemy drone even flew to the center of our Kyiv.”

“This is our Bayraktar, your stupid head,” others immediately pull him up. As a result, the people of Kiev in social networks seriously quarreled.

“Ukrainians do not understand and are outraged why he was shot down in the city center,” Maxim, a resident of Kyiv, shared with MK. “They say it causes a lot of destruction. But I think that in parts there are still fewer of them than it would be if he fell whole. In general, the capital should be the most protected place, but here our drones lose control. Lost control, lost course and flew somewhere on his own business, but this is not normal.

– Why did the Armed Forces of Ukraine try to shoot down the UAV from machine guns?

– Our people, to be honest, seem to be from the tundra. They think that this thing knows how to bypass the air defenses, flies at an extremely low altitude, because of this, the air defenses do not work. And if it works, it will use up ammunition, and we will no longer have protection from missiles. This is why they use small arms, and it is very, very difficult to get into Bayraktar from it, I would say that it is impossible.

Ukrainian society can now be divided into two parts: some are experiencing serious anxiety and run to the Kyiv subway at the first signal, as happened the day before, while others have resigned themselves to their fate – they are tired.

“We don’t have much panic,” Irina from Kiev shared with MK. – The main news for people is that Zelya left the country the other day. Yes, there were explosions at night, something bang over Kiev, but the people of Kiev are already used to it and do not follow. There are, of course, those who are now running across the cordon in fear, but in general, indifference is observed in society.
