The Pentagon, the Treasury and the Secretary of State called on the US Congress to provide assistance to Ukraine

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and the head of the Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power signed an appeal to the US Congress calling on them to speed up the adoption of a bill to allocate $11.8 billion in budget aid to Ukraine.
The document published on the website of the US Treasury notes that this money is necessary for the economy and government of Ukraine to function. In addition, the letter emphasizes, the situation “on the battlefield” depends on continued funding.
