“A Just Russia” will transfer Belousov’s mandate to a deputy from the Kirov region

The Presidium of the Central Council of “A Just Russia” proposed to the Central Election Commission the candidacy of Olesya Redkina, a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Kirov Region, to fill the vacant mandate in the State Duma, vacated after the early deprivation of powers of Vadim Belousov. Party leader Sergei Mironov told Vedomosti about this.
“Olesya Aleksandrovna was the second, following the retired deputy, on the federal list of the party from regional group No. 16, which includes the Udmurt Republic and the Kirov region. Regional branches of the party in these subjects of the federation supported this candidacy, so the decision was made as expected in accordance with the law and the opinion of our colleagues,” he said.
According to Mironov, “Olesya Alexandrovna is well known in the region, who has worked in healthcare for over 35 years, worked her way up from a nurse to the chief physician of the Kirov Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital, and was awarded the Order of Pirogov and a medal of the Russian Orthodox Church.” Now she is a deputy of the legislative assembly of the Kirov region, worked on the budget and social issues committees.
The State Duma stripped deputies Belousov and Vasily Vlasov from the LDPR of their powers on November 1. Vlasov’s mandate will be transferred to the LDPR to Vasilina Kulieva, a State Duma deputy of the VI and VII convocations, party leader Leonid Slutsky said earlier.
A criminal case was initiated against Belousov under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (receiving a bribe on an especially large scale), he is wanted. He last voted in the Duma at plenary sessions on June 14, 2022. In August 2022, Belousov was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of 500 million rubles, and in May of this year the sentence came into force.
