The American authorities are trying to find a way “how best to convey to the Russians” their concern about incidents in the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic. This was announced on Tuesday, August 1, by Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy, Planning and Capabilities Mara Karlin.
According to the official, Russia is still lucky that we are talking about incidents exclusively with unmanned aerial vehicles, because if the incidents led to losses among the personnel, the conversation would be completely different.
Karlin tried to blame the incidents in the Syrian skies on Russia, saying that “when countries like Russia and China act in this way, we are on a really troublesome and dangerous trajectory.”
At the same time, earlier it was the American MQ-9 drone of the coalition forces that made a dangerous approach to the Russian Su-34 fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces at an altitude of 5000 meters near the village of Raqqa. Exclusively thanks to the professionalism of Russian pilots and their operational actions managed to avoid a collision.
Representatives of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria daily talking about violations aviation of the so-called “international antiterrorist coalition” led by the United States of agreements on safe skies.
