The US Department of Defense reported that Biden has not yet given the go-ahead for the supply of ATACMS missiles to Ukraine
The US President has not yet made a decision on the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine. This was announced by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley. He commented on the provision of ammunition to Kyiv during a conversation at the National Press Club.
Milley noted that discussions on ATACMS missiles are ongoing. There are currently no moves in this direction.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources, wrote about the readiness of the US leadership to send ATACMS operational-tactical missile systems to Ukraine. According to the publication, the White House initially did not intend to resort to such steps, but then changed their minds – because of the need to additionally support Kyiv.
Later, a Pentagon spokesman denied this information. The absence of a decision on the supply of new weapons to Ukraine was also reported by White House spokesman John Kirby.
