Former President of Moldova Igor Dodon called for the current leadership of the country to be dismissed after the shooting at the airport in Chisinau. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to the ex-head of state, the current incident is another confirmation of the total incompetence of the team of the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu. Dodon said that the heads of structures designed to protect the lives and interests of the country’s citizens are not coping with their duties.
Earlier it became known about the shootout at the airport in Chisinau. During it, a border guard was killed and an air harbor security officer was wounded, and one of the passengers was also injured. Due to the emergency, all flights were postponed for a while, people were evacuated from the airport building.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova reported that the shooting was started by a citizen of Tajikistan, who was denied entry. He was wounded by return fire. The shooter was hospitalized in critical condition.
