“Plans had to be changed”

Finalist of “The Voice” and winner of the show “Exactly” Anastasia Spiridonova went on vacation. The star and her husband decided to vacation in Mauritius this year. However, her vacation on an exotic island does not go as originally planned. In Mauritius, the artist unexpectedly found herself in the epicenter of a raging cyclone.

“Today we should have stopped at a hotel in the mountains with a beautiful flowering garden and a very romantic atmosphere,” explains Anastasia. – But we are locked in our first hotel and cannot leave here because all the roads are closed. Airports, shopping centers, schools… – nothing is working here now because of the cyclone!

Tourists are advised not to go outside: strong gusty winds can literally knock you off your feet.

“Today there is a second-level cyclone in Mauritius, in our hotel, for example, the lights have just been turned off,” says the artist. – Thank God, the generator is now turned on. In general, everything is more or less good. But, of course, it’s scary. The wind is so strong that even palm trees bend! To be honest, I haven’t seen this for a long time.

Officially, the cyclone season in Mauritius lasts from November 1st to mid-May. But the strongest of them hit the island in January.

“The people here are very kind and open,” continues Anastasia. – The hotel owners, for example, allowed us to stay in the hotel during the cyclone without additional payment, having learned that we were Russian. Russians are very popular here!
