The owner of the fir tree cut down by officials demanded 200 thousand in compensation: “You’ll be a fool if you retreat”

The scandal that occurred in the city of Minyar, Chelyabinsk region, continued, where officials cut down a Christmas tree in the garden of a local resident in order to install the tree in the main square.

After the publicity, the head of the district administration met with the owner of the Christmas tree. “We ended the conversation on a positive note,” the official noted on his social network page.

As MK found out, it’s too early to talk about a “positive note”. The victim intends to demand compensation in the amount of 200 thousand rubles from officials.

The other day, Elena Shaldina published a post on social networks that her Christmas tree was installed in the city square. The local administration did not ask the owner for permission.

On the same day, the head of the administration reported that those who cut down the tree thought that the area where the tree grew was ownerless, apologized to the woman and offered compensation: plant a new tree instead of the one cut down or invite Elena to take part in planting trees.

We called Elena to find out if the conflict is really over.

– I’m already fed up with this tree. “I even stopped answering the phone,” Elena began the conversation. – On Wednesday we met with the head of the municipal district. People gathered around him and discussed this story for about ten minutes. And suddenly he asks: where is the woman whose Christmas tree is? I was surprised: so here I am, standing with you. He probably thought that the scandal was stirred up by some inadequate person.

We talked for a long time, it was already late, I had to leave. And then they suggested to me: go out to the square, they will interview you. I left. And they started telling me that I supposedly did not have documents for the plot, so it was considered ownerless, the tree could be cut down. This is not so, I have documents for perpetual ownership of the land, which I later informed the head of. But the information spread in the media.

When I asked for compensation, I was told: we will plant a Christmas tree for you in the spring. I was also invited to take part in the landscaping of some alley. They offered to plant their own Christmas tree there and promised that they would protect it.

The next day people from local television came to see me. They asked me to say on camera that I had no complaints and that I had no documents for the land. I was surprised: how is that possible? I have both documents and claims.

In addition, they became interested in my business. Some lawyer and lawyer came out to me. They explained that my 13-meter tree costs at least 200 thousand rubles and those who cut it down must pay compensation. If refused, I have the right to sue. They could face 5-7 years in prison because the tree was cut down collectively. When I voiced this to the administration staff, they began to insist that scammers were scamming me, they wanted money for themselves, but I would not get anything. Yes, at least let them do what, but now I will say on camera that I have a financial claim in the amount of 200 thousand rubles.

– It’s unlikely that they will pay you 200 thousand.

– In fact, the tree costs more. If the issue is resolved through the Prosecutor General’s Office, the cost of the Christmas tree could increase to 500 thousand rubles.

At first I didn’t intend to sue, I gave up, but people turned me on. I work in a pharmacy as a pharmacist. Today at 8 o’clock I opened the pharmacy, and how people flocked… The attendance in the morning was 320 people. People came not so much to buy medicine, but to give advice. Everyone came in and said: we need to punish them. People are angry with the city administration, they say: you will be a fool if you back down. Well, if everyone wants it, then let it be so.

– Did you ask why the administration didn’t buy a Christmas tree?

“The administration said that, they say, not a penny was allocated from the budget for the Christmas tree. After that, I suggested to the officials to cut down another Christmas tree that stands on my grandmother’s grave. She explained that the tree is 47 years old, it gets in the way there, grows close to the fence. The head of the administration asked in all seriousness: how to get there? I told him: the same way they arrived at my site, with a crane.

– Where did they get the Christmas trees before?

– From our deputy and entrepreneur who owns forestry. But he needs to pay money, and the administration, apparently, doesn’t have a penny.

There is always a Christmas tree in Minyar for the New Year. True, one year they brought a crooked, broken one, then it was replaced. In addition to the Christmas trees, an ice town is also being installed. 4-5 figures are cut out of the boards and filled with water.

From the window of the pharmacy where Elena works, you can see the main city square, in the center of which stands that same Christmas tree.

– The tree is 20 meters from me, I’m sitting here admiring it. I have an unusual one, with six tops, they look like candles. After this scandal, they asked me: are you proud that your Christmas tree is on the square? Yeah, I’m very proud,” the woman doesn’t hold back her sarcasm. – The correspondents also asked what I watered it with, that it had grown so beautiful. Nothing, I put trash under it. It’s a pity for the tree, after the New Year it will be thrown away. Or maybe they’ll put me back in my area and kill me somehow.
