The Olympic discipline was tested at the Russian climbing championship

With the involvement of foreign climbers, the championship of Russia in the discipline “combination” was held in Moscow. Envoys from Azerbaijan, India, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan competed with our athletes.
The expanded representation was due to the fact that this sport is included in the program of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. It was also actively promoted by the Russian Climbing Federation with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and the National Olympic Committee. Biathlon consists of parts – “bouldering”, where short difficult routes require jumps and excellent coordination of movements, and “difficulty”, which includes overcoming long sections at a height of about a dozen meters.
In women, 42 participants fought for awards, the victory went to Elena Krasovskaya from the Chelyabinsk region. Among 62 men, Dmitry Fakiryanov from St. Petersburg was the best.
All-Russian competitions in the discipline “speed climbing” were also held. They were won by Yulia Ovchinnikova from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Sergey Rukin from the Tyumen Region.
