The number of Threads users has reached 100 million per month – Kommersant

The Threads microblogging service is used by over 100 million people a month. About it stated head of Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) Mark Zuckerberg at an internal meeting of the company. The platform also added survey functions and GIF images similar to the social network X.

Mr. Zuckerberg said he had long thought there should be a more positive public discussion app with a billion people, suggesting Threads could reach that milestone. Result in 100 million users of the application reached five days from the launch, but then followed decline audience almost five times. Meta has not abandoned the service and continues to update it regularly.

The company announced the ability to make polls and publish GIF images directly from the post editor. Polls can provide three or four answer options, and there will also be a timer that will show in real time how much time is left to vote. When the survey ends, the application will send a notification. To see the result of the poll, you need to vote in it. When you send GIFs, the app will first show you the most popular options, and then you can search by image.
