The number of families with three or more children has increased in Russia over the past five years by 27%, to 2.3 million, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova. She cited these data during the presentation of the Year of the Family, held at the “Russia” forum at VDNKh.

According to Ms. Golikova, despite “demographic difficulties,” the number of third children in Russian families is increasing. She clarified that in general the number of children born increased by 30%.
