By evening, due to an accident in the heating supply networks in Lipetsk, 282 apartment buildings remain without heating. This morning, right after the accident, reported only about 27 houses left without heat. Now in Lipetsk the air temperature has dropped to -28°C; at lunchtime in the city it was -24°C.

“We had to temporarily increase the outage perimeter. There are now 282 houses left without heating and hot water. Management companies, in order to prevent the system from defrosting, began draining the coolants of the intra-house networks,” wrote the mayor of the city, Evgenia Uvarkina, in Telegram channel. According to her, the repair of heating networks will be completed by 20:00 (coincides with Moscow). Initially, they promised to provide heat to homes at 14:00.

Governor of the Lipetsk region Igor Artamonov wrote in Telegram channelthat a high alert regime has been introduced in Lipetsk. He also said that because of the accident, a meeting of the operational headquarters was convened in the city. 35 management companies responsible for heating homes sent out emergency teams.
