In the Voronezh region, 11 cases of anthrax in humans are already known. The regional government announced this on Friday, September 22.
Ten patients with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of anthrax are being treated at the Voronezh City Clinical Emergency Hospital No. 8. The eleventh patient, a child, is receiving the necessary therapy at the regional children’s hospital.
The condition of all patients is assessed as moderate, while doctors note positive dynamics.
Meanwhile in Kaluga the corpse of a cow tested for anthrax. The dead animal was found in the village of Galkino. Samples of pathological material were taken to exclude anthrax.
In Murmansk on September 15, a meeting of the region’s emergency anti-epizootic commission was held, within the framework of which the issue of ensuring epizootic welfare for anthrax.
