The northern all-around championship among schoolchildren began in Yakutia

About 180 young athletes representing 20 districts of Yakutia and the city of Yakutsk are participating in the northern all-around championship as part of the “Sports Yakutians” student sports competition. The sporting event will take place from February 29 to March 3 in the village of Bulun, Tattinsky district.
Girls and boys will compete in four age groups: 16-17 years old, 14-15 years old, 12-13 years old, 11 years old and younger. The largest number of participants – 36 people – was noted in the group of 14-15 years old among boys.
On February 29, cross-country pole running and northern triple jump competitions will take place. On March 1st there will be a long distance ax throwing event. On March 2, the throwing of the lasso on the trochee will take place. On March 3, sled jumping will be organized.
The “Sports Yakutians” Spartakiad was revived in 2022 according to the instructions of the head of the region, Aisen Nikolaev, and is being held in three stages. This year, the final stage will take place in the village of Namtsy from June 5 to 9.
Competitions will be held in 29 sports, including freestyle wrestling, boxing, e-sports, badminton, athletics, mas-wrestling, volleyball, kickboxing, basketball, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, cross-country skiing, mini-football, all-around VFSK ” GTO”, board games, bullet shooting, sambo, northern all-around, table tennis, archery, hapsagai, chess, theoretical competition, checkers.
In addition, Yakut jumping, kettlebell lifting, athletics for people with disabilities, and sports games of school sports clubs have been added.
