Forvar Ovchinnikov may return to HC Siberia

Forward Dmitry Ovchinnikov may return to the Novosibirsk club Sibir next season. At least his hockey agent Shumi Babaev did not rule out this option. This was reported by the Championship publication.
This season, the 21-year-old forward is playing in the AHL for the Toronto farm club, although the rights to him still remain with Siberia and, in principle, the club is interested in his return.
This season, Ovchinnikov played 20 matches for the Toronto Marlies and scored 10 (7+3) points.
But, according to Babaev, the Canadian coach does not allow Ovchinnikov to open up, so there is a question about changing the team. True, whether Ovchinnikov will remain in North America or return to “Siberia” is still unknown. This will largely depend on who will become the head coach of the Novosibirsk team and what conditions he will offer Dmitry.
Another client of Shumi Babaev, hockey player Nikita Shashkov, who currently played in Siberia with a score of 15 points, is also waiting for new offers from Sibir.
Let us recall that earlier “MK in Novosibirsk” wrote that The sports director of HC Sibir was fired from his position due to poor results.
