Although “guys” and “brothers” can be people’s artists of the USSR or, conversely, “comrade scientists.”

He is one of the songwriters of the Kultura channel, and this sounds proud. His “Cultural Revolution” was expected, I remember how it is now. But now “Agora”, his last program. Similar projects have already descended from the Kultura channel into oblivion, disappeared, ended up in the cemetery of ideas, and only Shvydkoy is eternal and endless. Perhaps he has the right of the first night, like the founding father, or he was given the immortal principle of Taras Bulba: I gave birth to you, I will kill you. That is, when he wants, then he will close the program, “everything is in your hands, and even I …”.

At first it seemed static, cumbersome, even clumsy. Well, there is an Agora, and it’s good, and let it be, because Shvydkoy will not fall below a certain bar, a line, a thin red line anyway.

But recently the essence of the program has changed, shed the old skin. Clever, sensitive Shvydkoy realized that now people need to speak a different language. Yes, and in Aesopian (and where in Rus’ without it?), But not only. The level of depth, generalization, comprehension is now, for the most part, beyond the limits at Agora. And from the general to the particular, from philosophy to everyday life, and all this is on the nerve, on emotions, like the last time.

“What cuisine, such songs.” Shvydkoi spends many issues just in one breath, and the invited people understand: at such a time, one cannot fake under any circumstances, now or never.

That’s basically what happens. The world needs to look at it with wide eyes. Yes, through culture, science, in a language that is not always clear, but at Agora they tell us what is happening around. After all, life does not consist of one policy, not at all of politics, which, unfortunately, influences us so much. Life is complex, multifaceted, especially in its peak manifestation. And here the right person Shvydkoy (without malice, in the most correct sense) and his comrades comes in handy. And he will explain, and direct, and promises to be indifferent. You just need to understand this, tune in to the only true wave … You need to look. To have no illusions. And so that the world does not seem like a blank slate. Because everything has already happened. You just need to know this.

90th anniversary of Lyubshin. Of course, “Shield and Sword”. Well, it’s sacred, you know who’s favorite movie. But still not mine, although I really like Basov, who is the director here. And young Yankovsky!

And I followed him, after Lyubshin: “Five Evenings” once, then the second. Or the tenth, twentieth… Lost count.

Stanislav Lyubshin has many wonderful roles. And in “Kin-dza-dza” a miracle is how good, and in “Do not shoot at white swans.” Yes, and Shukshin he is an artist from head to toe. But in “Five Evenings” Lyubshin is simply brilliant. Here a man got such freedom, spontaneity, a pure attitude to life. So, all this is in it, but how about it. And one more thing: what a joy to see him in real life, to listen to him. What happiness!
