The new campus of School 21 began work in Belgorod

The construction of the School 21 branch in Belgorod took less than three months

The opening was attended by the President and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank German Gref, the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agro-Belogorye LLC Vladimir Zotov. The guests appreciated the building and talked with the participants of the qualifying intensive.

“It is a great joy for us to open School 21 here in Belgorod today. Firstly, because this is a special region, and we have been cooperating a lot in recent years. Secondly, each campus of our school, of course, has its own flavor, regional specifics, but in Belgorod it is an ideally designed building, literally created for study, a very harmonious campus. I’m sure the kids will feel comfortable studying here,” said German Gref, President and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.

From idea to implementation in 84 days

He thanked the regional authorities for their active participation in the project and reminded that at the new school it is possible to master the most in-demand specialties.

It is noted that the educational project in Belgorod is being implemented on the initiative of the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov and with the support of the Agro-Belogorye group.

The new campus in Belgorod is located on two floors in a building on Vatutina Street. The total area reaches 2700 sq.m., and the number of workstations is 200. The school’s clusters with workspaces are named after the main rivers of the Belgorod region: Oskol, Nezhegol and Valuy.

“I am very happy about this long-awaited event. For me, this whole story is like a real breath. We, as a border region, especially understand that the image of the future is extremely important for us. And School 21 is an investment in the future. The school has become an excellent continuation of the regional project for continuous IT education in our schools,” said the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. The project was implemented in 84 days.

The qualifying stage has already begun

More than 200 people participate in it, 29% of them are girls. The average age of participants is from 18 to 24 years old, and the oldest is 50 years old. People from various professions come to school, among them: photographer, seamstress, taxi driver, welder. Over 3,000 applications were submitted for training from residents of the Belgorod region, the company’s press service clarified.

“For many years, the Agro-Belogorye group of companies has been systematically developing not only the manufacturing sector, but also the social sphere of our native Belgorod region. Almost every year we launch and develop new projects: we build parks, help build churches, chapels, and educational institutions. The School 21 project has become a real challenge for us: we have never built in such a short time,” said Vladimir Zotov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agro-Belogorye LLC.

No fear of change

Today, more than 4,900 people from 70 regions of Russia study at nine campuses of School 21. At the same time, 100% of graduates are employed in Russian IT companies. By the end of the year, it is planned to open seven more school campuses. It is important that admission to the institution does not depend on previous work experience, and training takes place on a domestic platform with constantly developing programs.

“Times are changing very quickly, and we need to be prepared for it. Therefore, the main thing that you can learn at School 21 is not to be afraid of changes, to be adaptive to these changes. Man will always create new perfect systems, and someone will need to operate them, improve them,” Gref summed up.
