Young athletes are invited to take part in the XVIII Republican all-around tournament “Urun Uolan” in memory of the excellent student of education in Yakutia Petr Petrovich Popov. Competitions will be held on March 18 in the Tyubinsky nasleg of the Namsky district, the press service of the Republican Center for National Sports named after V. Manchaara reports.
According to the organizer, the eldest son of Petr Popov, Nikolay Popov, the competitions have been held for 15 years. Petr Popov was a big fan of the sport, and now his family continues this endeavor. Nikolai Popov stressed that over the years, “Urun Wolan” has become a springboard for schoolchildren to participate in the “Dygyn Games” and other republican, all-Russian competitions.
